About Martha:

I have earned advanced level certification in addictions counseling, (CAAC) as
well as licensure as a professional counselor (LPC), and am a nationally
certified counselor (NCC). Additionally, I have earned a master’s degree in
public administration, and a graduate certification in holistic health. I am also a
nationally certified auricular acupuncture detoxification specialist (ADS), and
an advanced level board registered interventionist (BRI-II) .

                               Auricular Acupuncture

To try and explain it simply, Auricular (or Ear) Acupuncture is a specialised
complementary therapy where acupuncture points on the outer ear are treated,
using either needles or electro acupunctoscopes to help relieve many chronic
complaints.

There are as many as two hundred acupuncture points on the outer ear, each
point named generally after areas of our anatomy, i.e. knees, hips, shoulders,
liver, heart etc. The outer ear acts like a switchboard to the brain. Each
acupoint on the ear, when treated, triggers electrical impulses, from the ear, via
the brain, to the specific area of the body that is being treated. Therefore if
someone had a painful knee, for example, by treating the 'knee' acupoint on the
ear, it would help alleviate the pain.

Fees for services are listed as follows:

•        Initial evaluation:            $150.00 per 90-minute session

•        Individual Counseling:  $95.00 per 50minute session
                                                  $140.00 per 90 minutes


•       Couples/family counseling:
       
              $110.00 per 50 minute session
              $165.00 per 90 minutes

•        Secretary of State Driver’s License Evaluation: $225.00
        These fees include time spent in session as well as time spent        
       documenting treatment plans, case activity and/or reporting to referral
       sources.

•        Auricular Acupuncture:

              $20.00 Adjunct to individual counseling session
              $10.00 adjunct to group counseling
              $50.00 Individual Acupuncture only
              $15.00 Group Acupuncture (3 or more)

•        Interventions:
      
              $125.00 per hour
